In according to an ancient tradition it would be really the city of Foligno the fulcrum of our planet, the place on which to aim the compass to mark the distances from every other destination. A little bit joking and a little bit not, the voice spreads and this tradition now tickles the vanity of the inhabitants and the envy of the other bell tower. Up to a little while ago this centre had been individualised with precision in a physical place, constituted by the base of a ninepin set to the centre of a billiards in a central coffee in the most central plazas of Foligno. Today the symbol of Foligno '' center of the world '' is the ring of the Quintana, prestigious medieval tournament, main city demonstration.

Foligno in reality is not exactly found in the middle of Umbria, but like a pulsating and vital heart, is moved to the left side.
