Itineraries of the handicraft in the district of Todi
In
Marsciano it’s possible to follow an itinerary that cross the traces of its ancient
vocation, of the workmanship of the bricks, already attested in classical
epoch, and today prestigious and flourishing industrial activity. An
interesting itinerary was born to better illustrate its origins and the recent
past: the
Museo Dinamico del Laterizio e delle Terrecotte,
displaced along the places that have had a central role in its production. It’s
possible to visit the two restored furnaces of
San Fortunato and
Compignano,
the wine cellar of the
Castello di Spina or the suburb of Compignano,
where is reconstructed the activity and the genealogy of a famous family of
kilnmen, and then to finish the visit at
Marsciano, in the centre of
PalazzoPietromarchi, neuralgic centre of the museum.
