The town Trevi
The city of Trevi rises on a high ground and appears completely absorbed in its secular olive-trees. The suburb is
protected from boundaries of Roman epoch realised around the I century A.C.,
ploughed by three main doors that connect the ancient nucleus with the rest of
the city.
The religious centre of Trevi is certainly
the
Sant'Emiliano Church, devoted to the cult of the patron, first
bishop of Trevi. Built above preceding buildings, the most interesting part is
that constituted from the three apses of the XII century, visible also from the
external wall.
The
St. Francis Church is linked to
the Franciscan tradition, according to which it would have been really the
saint of
Assisi to found the building in 1213 upon the escort of the preaching
that took place in that time in Trevi. Of notable merit is an ancient organ,
realised in 1509. More times restored, it's now visible in its shine.
