Last minute Events Trevi

Event that dates back to 1980 and recalls a historical matter from 1214, when the inhabitants of Trevi returned into their proper town after a disastrous sack. The inhabitants of the quarters Castello, Matiggia and Piano, in which Trevi is subdivided, compete for the victory of the Palio pushing and pulling a cart along the streets of the town up to the Mora, a wooden figure that keeps the key which has to be taken and used to toll the bell, symbolic signal which announces the reconquest of the town.

March-April: Ginnasio Project Window - The calling towards contemporary and avant-garde art increases every year at Trevi, and proposes new initiatives. The Ginnasio Project Window is an international exhibition where young artists show their proper works and their personal solutions for the necessity of a cultural renewal.
April-May: Festival of the Oil at Spring - A series of initiatives take place around one of the most famous products of the territory, the oil from the hills of Trevi. For this occasion are organized artistic exhibitions, conferences and classes concerning the knowledge abut the oil and the olive cultivation.
April-May: Premiata Officina Trevana - Didactic and experimental laboratories have been created on initiative of the Flash Art Museum at Trevi, which present the artistic works of the best contemporary talents.
July-August: Trevi in Piazza - At Trevi, the summer evenings are filled with events and spectacles of various kinds and nature like music, sports, gastronomiy and culture.
October: Exhibition Market of the “Black” Celery of Trevi - Gastronomic fair where one can buy and taste the prestigious “Black” Celery, highly appreciated prince of the vegetables of Trevi, the yield of which is almost completely consumed on the fair. Therefore, this is an occasion not to be missed for all those who want to taste this local product.
October: Scenes of Medieval Life - The event recalls the life in a medieval village showing small pictures and performances in period costumes.
November: The Colours of the Oil - One of the most important events concerning the food-and-wine connoisseurship of the production and the culture of the oil. The main events are connected to the Museo della Civiltà dell’Ulivo, but the review takes place in the most important places of the town centre with samplings, exhibitions and concerts.
