August: August at Stroncone
The institution, which organizes
this summer event, presents every year a programme with many initiatives. The
outstanding events are the historical recalling, the reconstructions of
affairs, that really had happened, like the expedition formed of inhabitants of Stroncone, who went to Assisi in order to get back the body of Beato
Antonio Vici, or the deeds of the banished Viola, who
freed the town from the French siege, being driven by a burning love.
Besides the historical performances take place concerts and various kinds of
spectacles, followed by dinner in the inns, where the best dishes of the
local gastronomy are proposed.
