Piegaro and outskirts
The San Silvestro Church has
ancient and probably origins, before the 1000. Of Romanesque style remains only
the plant, having suffered numerous changes, culminated with the radical
transformation happened in halves 1800 that conferred it the actual neo-classic
aspect. A wooden Crucifix believed miraculous and various paintings of
the '500 and '600 are kept there.
Hardly out the boundaries is to be found the church of the Madonna of the
Crocetta, of the century XVI, which entertained the homonym brotherhood.
Inside, there's a beautiful wooden statue representing "Ecce Homo" of
the XVII century.
