Castles and fortifications
In the territory of
Magione rise numerous rests of the fortifications that from the
Middle Ages were built within the complex
Perugian defensive system. In
Agello there is a castle of the X-XI century, while in
Montecolognola there's
another one built by the same inhabitants in 1200, of which remains only the
two access doors, the boundaries and the towers. Always dated 1200 is the
castle of
Montemelino, while in
Zocco are found the rests of a
mighty castle built in 1400.
