The great attention reserved to the environment has preserved the whole territory from the corruption, from the carelessness of the man and from the ravages of time, preserving at best not only the numerous medieval suburbs’ buildings, but especially the typical lake ecosystem. Who loves the nature lost himself among the gems of the Trasimeno Regional Park, where can watch the dance of love of the great crested grebe, admire the predatory ability of the hawk of swamp, and follow the migratory cycle of the red heron. Numerous are then the species that compose the fish fauna, with some beautiful fishes to watch, and some others good to eat, as the carp in roast, undiscussed "king" of the lake.
