July: Genius Loci
Every year in July is celebrated the Sagrantino,
the "Genius Loci" of Guado Cattaneo and of the whole territory of production. The
characteristic wine represents wholly the unique and one-off
element where the spirit of the place is considered to be. The festival
consists of different kinds of concerts, from ethnical music to concerts with
ancient instruments taking place in the Rocca dei Borgia and
accompanied by the Sagrantino in all its manifestations.

Cattaneo gastronomic stalls are set out and one can taste local dishes
on the base of asparagus.
December-January: The Living Crib of Marcellano - In Christmas time a charming animated crib
is set out to move in the streets of the town centre.
