Last minute The Blessed Angela from Foligno

Between 1248 and 1309 is consumed the mystical experience of an unusual female character, very dear to the city of Foligno, the Blessed Angela from Foligno. The date of her birth is not quite certain, while it is certain that she died the 4^th January 1309. Her life received a turn, when, lost all her family, undertaken a personnel mystical walk receiving the Sacrament of the Penitence into the Cattedrale of San Feliciano. After a trip to Assisi she embraced the Rule of the Third Franciscan Order, living in poverty and chastity, stripping herself of every good and living with her friend Masazuola. Her internal life and of prayer is narrated in a Memorial known as The Book of the Blessed Angela from Foligno, fruit of a series of interviews had with a smaller monk, relative and confessor of Angela. From her writings it emerges a sort of genuine re-elaboration of the contents of the negative theology. Its spirituality influenced various figures, among which we remember the Francesco Ubertino da Casale. The relics of the Blessed Angela from Foligno are still guarded by the Conventual Smaller Monks of Foligno near the St. Francis Church.
