The town Castel Giorgio
On the main square of
Castel Giorgio there's another city symbol buildings, the actual sober and elegant Town-hall,
built in 1876.
As known, the whole area was full of
Etruscan installations, of which valid testimonies remains in the
archaeological area of
Poggio Norrone, where, in Lauscello, were found
different graves that constitute the nucleus of the necropolis. They were
discovered at the beginnings of the '900s, together with precious finds like
precious silver vases, today visible in the
Orvieto Archaeological Museum.
