Spoleto 52 edition of the Festival of the two Worlds
Spoleto Festival 2009 :the city offers a stage of international relief to the meeting between two cultures and two artistic worlds; that American and European.
The Festival is born in 1958 for initiative of the teacher composer Giancarlo Menotti (disappeared in the 2007). The artistic direction has been followed by his child Francis Menotti from 1995 to the 2007.
The artists that have participated in the festival, belong to the world of the lyric, of the prose, of the music, of the cinema and of the painting and many, of international fame, they have given great prestige to the demonstration during the on history: Lùchino Visconti, Carla Fracci, Roman Polanski, Luciano Pavarotti, Vittorio Gassman.
The Festival, that is under the artistic guide of the teacher George Ferra with iron from 2007, continuous to also give great resonance to the city umbra thanks the suggestive places that the city of Spoleto offers :
This demonstration represents a real stage that continues to be characterized by the peculiarity, the innovation and the originality of its shows.
